It has a lot more features and tests beyond the basic autofocus microadjustments, sure, but it's not at all confusing. I'm so glad I did, because none of the bad reviews I saw held up. Then earlier this year I saw someone mention it and was about to repeat some of the bad reviews I read before I caught myself and decided I needed to try it for myself before I bad mouth it without even knowing. I first heard about FoCal about a year ago but put off buying it because of the price for the Pro version (which is needed if you have lenses over 400mm) and some of the reviews I read about the software being confusing or difficult to connect.

Thanks Dave my only issue I can see is on the dock it has the distances listed across the 4 segments and that I don't use the advised distance of 12m by reikan. You may need them if you ever, for whatever reason, lose the values you registered in the dock. Be sure to save the lens reports on the lens from Focal. Focal called for +6 On mine so I entered +12 for the 600mm length. My understanding were the values should be doubled so I did that on mine. Once you get the combo MFA then you transfer the values to the dock. I think these are the same focal settings on the dock. I started at 600mm then worked my way back to 4 different focal settings. Follow the basic setup (tripod, target position, camera setup). I used Reikan Focal Pro with my D810 and Sigma 150-600 S.
